Is there a minimum enrolment?
Yes.
The minimum enrolment at Puddleducks’ Nursery and Preschools (Albert Street and Feilding) is three days of six hours for all children. From time to time conditional part-time enrolments may be considered if vacancies allow.
Minimum bookings at Puddleducks’ Montessori Preschool (43 Parnell Heights, PN) are:
2 year olds is three sessions of 3 hours per week.
3 year olds is 20 hours per week.
Sessions for all 3 year olds are a minimum of 4 hours.
5 sessions of 4 hours Monday to Friday (Choice of booking times 0800 -1200, 0815-1215, 0830-1230, 0845-1245 = 20hours).
4 and 5 year olds is 26 hours per week.
Five mornings plus three afternoon enrichment class (2 hours each afternoon on days of enrichment class days which are Monday, Tuesday and Thursday afternoons).
How do I enroll or put my Child’s name on the waiting list?
Puddleducks’ welcomes all prospective clients to make an appointment with the centre of their choice to view our facilities and meet the team. Visiting times are between 9am and 11am or 1pm and 3pm. We have a visiting procedure to ensure the minimum disruption to the valuable teaching opportunities within our programme.
If you prefer to “call in” please contact the centre of your choice to find out which day the Head Teacher has release time to ensure your visit provides you with the most information required to make an informed decision about Early Childhood Education for your child.
Upon visiting the centre you are provided with a Prospectus, Fee/Parent Information Handbook and an Application for Enrolment form.
To facilitate the hours of attendance you require please fill in the application for enrolment form & anticipated hours and return the form along with the booking fee to the centre of your choice or post to Enrolments, Puddleducks’, P.O Box 51, Feilding
We will do our best to accommodate you and your child’s needs to our mutual advantage.
What is a booking fee?
A booking fee is a one off payment made at the time of enrolment, $100 (Including $25 a non refundable administration fee).
Once your child’s enrolment is confirmed at Puddleducks’ the first weeks fees are required to secure the position. The $75 balance of the booking fee is credited to the first week fee.
The booking fee is non-refundable if your enrolment is cancelled after you have been sent a confirmation letter.

What hours are Puddleducks' centres open?
Puddleducks’ Nursery and Preschools (Albert Street -Palmerston North and Manchester Street- Feilding) are open from 7:30am to 5:30pm, Monday to Friday.
Puddleducks’ Montessori Preschool (43 Parnell Heights) is open 8:00am to 3:15pm, Monday to Friday.
Each Puddleducks' centre closes for all Statutory Holidays and a Teacher Only Day, every year on the Thursday before Good Friday.
We close for approximately two to three weeks over Christmas/New Year -dates for this holiday are published by the 1st June each year.

2011-2012 Christmas/New Year Holiday Hours
All Puddleducks’ centres will close at 12noon on Friday 23rd December 2011 and will reopen on Wednesday, 11th January 2012.
Puddleducks’ Junior School (156 Manchester Street, Feilding) will reopen from Monday 30th January 2012.
POP (Puddleducks’ Oscar Programme) holiday programme will run from 16th January, 2012 (Operation of POP will be booking numbers dependant)
Are there any changes to fees when children are away or the centre is closed?
At Puddleducks’ we provide high quality education and care with quality staff ratios.
Staffing, educational programmes and meals are planned in advance based on children booked on a daily/weekly basis.
Statutory Holidays, illness days, family vacation times, centre holidays (over Christmas/New Year) and Teacher Only day are taken into account at the time fees are set. For ease of administration full fees are required for 52 weeks per year. To ensure Puddleducks' is able to continue to provide the highest quality service there are no exceptions or discounts available.

What is included in the fees?
Published fees (GST Inclusive) provide for: quality resources, individual child development programmes, Fun @ four (extension programme) exercise books, nutritional and child friendly lunch (with the exception of Puddleducks’ Montessori), morning and afternoon snacks plus profile books and daily nursery journals.
General items are provided – e.g. hats, wipes, sunscreen, tissues.
Fees are reviewed on an annual basis.

Montessori Aotearoa New Zealand

Montessori Aotearoa New Zealand is governed by a voluntary council and managed by an executive and administration officer, in consultation with members.
What is the MANZ fee?
The MANZ fee is $10.50 per family per term at Puddleducks' Montessori Preschool only.
