Meals are an important part of Puddleducks’ Philosophy and centre values.

Teachers share in meal times with children to positively role model healthy eating and optimise learning and social opportunities that meal times provide.

Puddleducks' Nursery and Preschools (Albert Street and Feilding)- All meals (Morning Tea, Lunch, Afternoon Tea and Late Snack) at Puddleducks’ Nursery School and Preschools are provided (this excludes infant formula).

A rotational four weekly menu provides children with variety and change in their diet. Meals are prepared with consideration to the age and food allergies of children. The Infant and toddler menu is designed to suit individual needs.

Children are provided with the choice of water, milk or milo to drink and are offered a selection of fresh fruit daily.

Nutritious and delicious meals are prepared and delivered fresh from Puddleducks' own catering kitchen where a team of 3 catering staff all hold a NZQA (New Zealand Qualifications Authority) Unit Standard 167 -Practice Food Safety Methods in a Food Business.

Puddleducks' Montessori Preschool provides children with morning and afternoon tea snacks. Milk, milo and water are provided. Children who attend the enrichment programme and full days are required to provide a healthy packed lunch.

Puddleducks’ Oscar Programme participants are provided with afternoon tea each day. During the school holidays children are required to pack a lunch, morning and afternoon teas are provided.
